Energy Storage Summit Latin America (4th Edition)

Leveraging LATAM’s Resources: Energy Storage for System Stability, Supply Chain and Scale
2025-10-14 ~ 2025-10-15 , Santiago

The Summit has become a meeting place for IPPs and developers, investors, financiers and banks, utilities, consultancies, software providers, and manufacturers who are setting high standards in the Latin American energy storage sector.

Chile remains the frontrunner for BESS and one of the most advanced energy storage markets in Latin America. 2024 marked an important milestone for the country, with the largest BESS in the region entering commercial operation, located in the Northern Antofagasta region of Chile. BESS Coya, a co-located project with a solar PV farm, will be able to store the equivalent of five hours of electricity, representing the delivery of around 200 GWh on average per year.

Other exciting markets in Latin America include Brazil, the Dominican Republic, Puerto Rico, Peru and Colombia. Brazil has confirmed its first standalone storage auction for June 2025, whilst new incentives for storage are becoming more commonplace across the continent in markets such as Chile or the Dominican Republic.

However, some of the biggest and most common challenges for BESS remain concentrated on the lack of regulation and policy for battery energy storage systems across the region. Without consistent and substantial regulatory frameworks across the region, investment conditions for BESS projects will continue to be impacted.

The Energy Storage Summit Latin America will bring together over 300 peers and innovators across the energy storage eco-system, to delve deeper into the current successes and challenges for energy storage in Latin America. Join us in October 2025 to further the industry and secure your stake in Latin America’s evolving regional markets.
